Ephesians 4:26-27 – “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.

Do you have control over your anger or is your anger controlling you?

Ephesians 4:29 – “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”

Do your words build up one another? How can you “put out fires” rather than start them?

Ephesians 4:32 – “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

Do you forgive just as Christ forgives you?

For your homework this week, please post your thoughts to this page.

Ephesians 4: 14-15 reads, – “Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.  Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.”

“Speaking the truth in love” sounds so simple.  Some of us can speak truth and forget to be loving.  While others can be loving and choose to spare the truth if it is too painful. Paul makes it clear that we are instructed to do both.  This a discipline that takes prayer and thoughtfulness…

Without giving names, please share how the Lord blessed the outcome of a difficult conversation.
